Nodaway County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 65-year-old Parnell man after finding methamphetamine in an abandoned vehicle on Neon Road, north of Highway 136.
According to a report from Nodaway County Sheriff Randy Strong, deputies checked on the vehicle Tuesday afternoon, when they made contact with Gary Joseph Spire, who was near the car. Deputies observed a syringe cap and alcohol inside the car.
After obtaining consent to search, they found a loaded syringe, which tested positive for methamphetamine. Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney, Robert Rice has charged Spire with a class D felony possession of a controlled substance.
